About
Anna is a dancer , yoga teacher and creative dance facilitator . She has trained as a contemporary dancer in Trinity Laban and has studied dance movement psychotherapy at the University of Roehampton.
She has been giving dance classes and have assisted dance movement psychotherapists all over London to diverse client groups ( children and young adults with learning disabilities, autism , elderly people , mental health ) . She has also worked with dance theatre companies ( Amici Company , Blink Company ) and performing alongside with them in community dance projects. She is now a secret sunrise ambassador an co-facilitator, she has held classes in venues such as wonderlust and St James’s market, jut to name a few.
She has also performed with different visual artists in famous venues ( Palais de Tokyo , Soho revue ) for art performance and companies such as “CTC” with Christopher Tendai. She is now starting as a young choreographer performing her own pieces , her first show was held at the Grosvenor Chapel for Romanov Variations .
Anna has been practicing dance for over 10 years . Creative dance to her is not just a sport but an outlet allowing her to release problems , tension or express any kind of joy or emotion in a creative way . Anna has always been interested on how movement can heal the body and the mind . She always said that creative dance helped her manage her stress and improved her dancing and problem solving adding joy and play to her life. She really enjoys the none competitive aspect of the practice and the healing side of it too .
Anna has always been very inventive with the different school of thought she trained at , mixing classical and contemporary dance with Yoga and breathing exercises. Her unique approach makes her classes eclectic and unique. Creativity and outside thinking are qualities that characterised Anna’s personality.
